Yay! You're engaged! This session is dedicated to our soon-to-be's. It covers ONE hour of time, unlimited wardrobe changes ( though we recommend choosing only/up-to 2 outfits).

Commonly Asked Questions

The pricing listed above provides information on package inclusions and cost-range from off-peak to peak season wedding coverage. As of January 2026, peak season includes: March - May, and September - December.


What are peak season dates & how do we pick them?

Peak season dates are determined during Quarter 4 of each calendar year, after reviewing previous and future bookings. During peak season, F|O maintains a "totally" booked calendar, shooting 1 - 2 weddings each weekend. Due to the immense volume of weddings, post-wedding work, increase of the CODB (cost of doing business), and holiday season cost-of-goods increase, the price of photography coverage reflects these listed factors. It's important to note that all wedding vendors observe "peak" season during different times of the year. Implied through our brand "Forever October" and our editing style, we typically attract more clients during spring and fall/winter months, which reflects our peak season dates.


Pricing Increases

During Q1 and Q4, we take time to analyze our local market, pricing of local photographers, industry standards, cost of new gear and technological upgrades, to determine if a pricing increase is necessary. Typically, pricing increases will occur during the months of February and September. Pricing increases do not reflect current bookings in which a contract has already been signed, only future bookings made after the increase. We do our best to keep our website and Zola as "up to date" as possible, and use Facebook as a means to share important information about anticipated pricing increases.


Promotional Pricing

Promotional Pricing is offered at the sole discretion of Forever October, for the purpose of raising client awareness and acquisition, and to book the remaining "open dates" during the calendar year. We also like to offer promo pricing as a way to make our services available to potential clients who may have a smaller wedding budget. It's our goal to continue offering promo at least once during each year to keep our services accessible to a broader client base. Potential clients can usually expect promo pricing between January and May of each year. Promos during this period are typically applicable on Fall/Winter Dates of the same year as the promo, and Spring season of the following year.


Weekday Weddings & Pricing

It's true that the majority of our weddings we book happen on Saturdays! However, we do book and love to photograph weekDAY weddings as well! Our pricing is not adjusted for weekday weddings, as the hours worked during the wedding & time editing are equal to that of Saturday weddings. This policy does not include 2-3 hour weddings for week day elopements & courthouse weddings.


Why is wedding photography SO expensive?

We're glad you asked! To own and operate a successful wedding photography business that provides quality and high-resolution images to clients, it requires significantly expensive cameras, lenses, microphones, batteries, and a slew of gear that ensure your wedding day is captured beautifully. Aside from the price of the equipment and gear, digital storage software, editing software, advertising, website maintenance, cost of insurance, and maintaining current knowledge and education on best-practices, are all high-price point items. Most of all, in addition to the pricey overhead to run a photography business, for each wedding photographed, there is on-average 25-30 hours of editing that takes place AFTER your wedding day. This does not include the amount of time spent traveling to, from, and photographing your wedding day. For many photographers, including us at F|O, photography is our full-time gig, and is not a side-hobby. We believe that we, like all of our full-time wedding industry colleagues, deserve to earn a living wage that reflects the class of work we provide. With consideration of the many factors listed above, we still firmly believe that couples should not be priced-out of the luxury photography market, and have to settle for low quality images. For this reason, we focus careful attention on our DFW area market pricing, and try to maintain a median price range, without devaluing the quality of our services by underpricing our work.

How do I book a shoot?

Do you offer payment plans?

Depending on your specific needs, and package chosen, I am happy to offer payment plans on an individualized basis. I strive to make all of my packages accessible. You shouldn't have to settle for less. While ALL packages will require a "deposit", total deposit amount can be made flexible on request, and at the sole discretion of Forever October.

Do you travel within the USA and internationally?

In short, yes. We are passport ready. However, any travel beyond a 50 mile radius of our central work area (North Texas Region) will incur travel fees in excess of the photography package cost. If you're hoping for a session away from home, ask us what exciting place we're planning to go to next OR ask us about our travel exchange program. This is a creative way to avoid potential travel fees.

What is your typical timeline?

Depending on the duration of a session, the timeline will differ. We make our best effort to provide our clients with next-day highlight images, while the entire gallery may take anywhere between 4-16 weeks. At the time of booking, we will be able to give you a more exact turn around time based on the type of session we will be providing for you.

What payment methods are available?

Currently, payments are accepted through Square secured invoicing links. Through Square Clients are able to pay via Credit/Debit Card, AfterPay and PayPal. One an individualized basis, and at the request of the client, we will consider payments through Venmo and Apple Pay.

Do you have a referral program?

Yes! When you send someone our way, we will offer a 10% discount on your next booking, or 5% discount for any previously booked upcoming session. Repeat clients will also receive special, individualized rates.

Do you require a contract?

Absolutely. At the time of booking, you will receive a contract that protects both your interests and mine. This contract will specify information about your specific photography package. It will address topics such as: payments made/payment plans, turn-around time, media releases, cancellations, refunds, and artistic release.

Do you offer First Responder, Active Military, and Veteran Discounts?

Yes! I'm the proud wife of an ER RN, and am the grand-daughter and niece of several members of our armed forces. My family has a long history of serving in the greatest military in the world. All First Responders, Active Military, and Veterans will receive a 5% discount on the total cost of their services. Please be sure to mention your service at the time of booking.
